What is Monarch Air Services?Monarch Air Services is the name of my Monarch Waystation. Monarch Waystations are habitats set up to provide flowering plants for the Monarchs to drink from and specifically Milkweed for their young to eat. The Monarchs make a 3000 mile journey from the states to winter in Mexico. Living in California near Mexico, my waystation serves the Monarch like an airport, a place to rest and eat and also to on their return journey, to lay eggs. Milkweed is what they need! Milkweed is the only food that Monarch caterpillars eat and without it they starve. The adult females lay their eggs on the milkweed plants and the plant provides the larva with the food it's need to grow. The Monarch population is on a severe decline because they are extremely sensitive to pesticides and common household chemicals. Purchasing milkweed may seem like a very simple thing but it's imperative that you purchase milkweed pesticide free. There are a number of Etsy stores who sell pesticide free milkweed. You can also grow milkweed from seed and in fact get seeds for free at http://www.livemonarch.com/free-milkweed-seeds.htm. Seed kits and weigh stations can be purchased at http://monarchwatch.org/waystations/. Join The Beautiful Monarch group on Facebook for more information. Holli, the page administrator, is extremely helpful and there are tons of educational links in the info tab. Save the Monarchs!

Desert Rat Handcrafted Artisan Charcoal Soap
Desert Rat Handcrafted Artisan Charcoal Soap 6 oz buy one get one free!Desert rat, a colloquial name for a resident of a desert area, especially in Southwestern United States deserts. We desert dwellers have adapted to our hot dry climate so well that when the temperatures fall below 70 degrees we're freezing! The summers are brutal, however. Eight months out of the year the Coachella Valley has some of the best weather anywhere. Our mild winters have long been a draw for those who wish to escape the harsh winters north of us. Can't say that I blame them, shoveling snow from a driveway is brutal (I hear). Desert Rat Handcrafted Artisan Charcoal Soap began as a special request from a friend who said he loved a charcoal and Cedarwood soap. Activated Charcoal is mild and can be used on the most sensitive of skin and without causing allergic reactions. Common charcoal has the ability to attract other substances to its surface. It is for this property that it thought that activated charcoal draws out impurities from the skin. For this reason is why you see so many spa treatments today that are made from activated charcoal. Desert Rat soap is not intended as a treatment or curative substance for any medical conditions. Charcoal soap can leave a black residue in your shower, but don't despair, it rinses away easily. Desert Rat charcoal soap has an earthy conifer aroma, a truly unique scent. A fragrance/essential oil blend of exotic blend of cedar, ylang ylang, cypress, vetiver, complimented with fruit notes and rich greenery. It is a mash of tropical island and green forest, with these smells coming together to create something more than themselves ever could be.

Coachella Handcrafted Artisan Soap
Coachella Handcrafted Artisan Soap 6 oz buy one get one free!I often find inspiration in art and nature for new products. Coachella handcrafted artisan soap was inspired by the rock and Indie music festival Coachella Fest. Coachella Fest is huge here in the Coachella Valley drawing hundreds of thousands of music goers every year. It's awe inspiring to see so many young people dressed in retro 60's outfits heading out to have the time of their lives. I remember the very first Coachella Fest back in 1993 with Pearl Jam as the headliner. It wasn't much more than just a concert on the polo fields back then. Goldenvoice has expanded the festival into two weekends, added the country music fest Stagecoach and a fall festival for us old rockers called Desert Trip. My oh my how it has grown! Coachella has become the who's who in Hollywood and the elite. While rocking out, you could be rubbing shoulders with a celebrity or sports star. The music festival has become much more than just music, it is well known for is colorful art display. In 2015, there was a caterpillar that transformed into a beautiful butterfly. Saving Monarchs has been my passion and this was my inspiration for Coachella soap. The fragrance is a soft musk scent with just a hint of floral. Guys and gals both love this scent. Coachella soap has a great fluffy lather and gently cleansing leaving your skin feeling soft and smooth.
