What is Monarch Air Services?Monarch Air Services is the name of my Monarch Waystation. Monarch Waystations are habitats set up to provide flowering plants for the Monarchs to drink from and specifically Milkweed for their young to eat. The Monarchs make a 3000 mile journey from the states to winter in Mexico. Living in California near Mexico, my waystation serves the Monarch like an airport, a place to rest and eat and also to on their return journey, to lay eggs. Milkweed is what they need! Milkweed is the only food that Monarch caterpillars eat and without it they starve. The adult females lay their eggs on the milkweed plants and the plant provides the larva with the food it's need to grow. The Monarch population is on a severe decline because they are extremely sensitive to pesticides and common household chemicals. Purchasing milkweed may seem like a very simple thing but it's imperative that you purchase milkweed pesticide free. There are a number of Etsy stores who sell pesticide free milkweed. You can also grow milkweed from seed and in fact get seeds for free at http://www.livemonarch.com/free-milkweed-seeds.htm. Seed kits and weigh stations can be purchased at http://monarchwatch.org/waystations/. Join The Beautiful Monarch group on Facebook for more information. Holli, the page administrator, is extremely helpful and there are tons of educational links in the info tab. Save the Monarchs!

Dia De Los Muertos Bath Bomb
Dia de los muertos bath bomb 5.15 ozCelebrate the Day of the Dead with a super cute Dia de los muertos bath bomb. Dia de los Muertos honors the dead with festivals and lively celebrations, a typically Latin American custom that combines indigenous Aztec ritual with Catholicism, brought to the region by Spanish conquistadores. (Dia de los Muertos is celebrated on All Saints Day and All Souls Day, minor holidays in the Catholic calendar.) Content copied from https://www.nationalgeographic.org/media/dia-de-los-muertos/ I'm so excited for the Fall weather. The summer here in the Coachella Valley has been particularly brutal with 123 degree days and monsoonal humidity. Making these gives me hope that cool weather is on the horizon. Each Dia de los muertos bath bomb is hand painted and unique. Variations and imperfections are typical (I'm no artist but I do try. If you've ever painted a sugar skull, you'll understand how challenging it is to paint on a rough surface). Hand painted with water soluble dyes (batch certified, FDA compliant dyes) that won't stain you or your tub. The fragrance is a wintry mix of crisp fruit, pine and juniper berries. Sultry and seductive, reminiscent of spending the night in a snowdrift lodge. It's the perfect blend of feminine and masculine tones. I absolutely adore this scent. It's truly intoxicating! Directions for use: Fill your tub with water. I like to add 1/4 to 1/2 cup of epsom salts to my bath. Consult your doctor before use. Step in carefully as your tub may be slippery. Use of a grab bar is highly recommended. Ingredients: Baking soda. Citric acid. Butter milk powder. Corn starch. Coconut oil, Cocoa butter. Fragrance. Cream of tartar. Kaolin clay. Isopropyl alcohol. Witch hazel. Water soluble dyes: Blue 1. Red 40. Yellow 5. Yellow 6. Red 33.
